Privacy policy

The Ham Radio Intelligence Portal (HRIP) is a non-commercial amateur radio site operated by IZ1KGA. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to serve the page.

No cookies, no tracking

This site does not set any cookies and does not use local storage, analytics, advertising or third-party tracking. We do not profile visitors and do not build user accounts. For this reason no cookie-consent banner is shown.

Third-party services

To display the interactive map your browser loads resources directly from third parties. As a technical necessity of any web request, your IP address and browser user-agent are transmitted to them:

• CARTO — base-map tiles (basemaps.cartocdn.com).
• unpkg — the MapLibre GL library (unpkg.com).
• MapLibre — map fonts/glyphs (demotiles.maplibre.org).

These providers process the request under their own privacy policies. HRIP has no control over and no access to that processing.

Server logs

Like virtually all web servers, ours records standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user-agent) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not used to identify individuals, are not shared, and are retained only for a short period before deletion.

Legal basis & your rights

The limited processing above relies on our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating a secure, functional website. No personal data is sold or transferred for marketing. You may request access to, or erasure of, any data relating to you, or raise any privacy question, by contacting iz1kga@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
